When was the last time you sat in front of other men without performing, without competing and without carrying the image of “having it all under control”? Almas al Desnudo (Naked Souls) is a men’s retreat born from that question. It will take place on October 30, 31 and November 1, in a natural setting on Costa Rica’s southern Caribbean coast.

Its premise is clear: this is not a retreat for “behaving perfectly,” it’s a retreat for men who want to be real.

Dropping the Armor: What Almas al Desnudo Is About

Many of us men grew up learning to handle things alone, to endure and not to show what we feel. Over time, that armor can bring exhaustion and distance, even from ourselves. Almas al Desnudo offers a different kind of space, with the intention of addressing the wound of belonging, reconnecting with the body and building brotherhood among men through honesty, play and vulnerability.

It is an invitation, not a promise of results. Each participant experiences it in their own way and at their own pace, and to that is added something simple and powerful: remembering that you are not alone.

Three Days, Two Nights and More Than 10 Wellness Activities

The experience lasts three days and includes two nights of accommodation and organic meals. The program is built around four pillars:

What Does the Experience Include?

The Program, Day by Day

Friday, October 30: Arriving and Opening the Circle

The first day is for landing. After settling in, the opening circle sets the tone for what’s to come, and the night closes with yoga, dinner and a space of silence.

Saturday, October 31: The Most Intense Day

Saturday combines breathing, circle work, movement, nature, touch, ceremony and celebration. It moves from inner work to play, and ends with a party in the jungle.

Sunday, November 1: Integrating and Saying Goodbye

The last day slows the pace with breathing and a gentle practice. The closing circle, shared around lunch, leaves room to put what you’ve lived into words before heading home.

Vulnerability and Brotherhood: The Heart of the Proposal

Talking about men’s wellness is also talking about connection. Showing vulnerability is not weakness: it is an act of honesty that can open the door to more authentic bonds. In a retreat like this, the men’s circle works as a space to listen and be heard without judgment, and the body becomes part of the path through yoga, breathing, dance and contact with nature.

Play also has a central place. Laughing, moving without worrying about how you look and celebrating in the jungle are also part of feeling alive and accompanied again.
