Deaths and injuries in missile attack on educational center in Ukraine

According to Ukrainian authorities, a Russian missile attack in the city of Odesa, Ukraine, left five people dead and more than 30 injured on Monday, April 29, 2024.

Various videos and images of the attack, released by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office, show bombs exploding in areas near the waterfront.

These images depict flames engulfing the roof of the educational center known as “Harry Potter Castle.”

The Ukrainian Prosecutor General stated, “Metal fragments and remnants of missiles were recovered near the site of the attack.” Ukrainian authorities believe Russia used a ballistic missile and cluster munitions in the attack.

Russia claims to have successfully intercepted a significant missile and drone attack from Ukraine using air defenses in Crimea.

Sergei Aksyonov warned the population against approaching any unexploded ordnance, while one of his officials urged people not to publish or document information about Russian air defenses in action.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities have not commented, and we cannot verify Russia’s claims.

Unusual videos and images of the incident show emergency teams trying to extinguish the flames at the educational center.
