Hermès Ateliers Horizons Headphones are the French Maison’s most recent and striking move into a new dimension of luxury. This time, the brand ventures into the high-end audio world with a launch that redefines what it means to “listen in style.” Priced at $15,000 (€ 11,800), these headphones stand out not only for their audio engineering but also for the flawless fusion of design, heritage, and exclusivity.
Inspiration and Design: An Ode to the Hermès Legacy
The Hermès Ateliers Horizons Headphones draw inspiration from the iconic Kelly bag. The structure combines hand-stitched calf or cowhide leather with polished and brushed metals. Each pair is crafted at the Ateliers Horizons workshop in Pantin by a team of around 50 artisans, designers, and engineers. The five available shades—Naturel, Black, Chocolate, Rouge H, and Prussian Blue—elevate these headphones into collectible pieces.
Technology with Soul
These headphones are not derived from any existing model. Hermès has developed its unique sound signature from the ground up, without relying on licensed audio technologies. The structure features 40mm dynamic drivers, a frequency range of 10Hz to 40kHz, 32Ω impedance, and dual-microphone noise cancellation. They include Bluetooth 5.3 and wired connectivity, along with a 30-hour battery life.

Axel de Beaufort, creative director of Ateliers Horizons, led this ambitious initiative. His approach focused on creating a few perfect pieces. “The idea is not to produce 10,000 units. It’s to make a few, made perfectly,” he explained.
